Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined in the Regent College Academic Catalogue under Academic Information/ Academic Integrity as being "an academic offence in which someone presents, in whole or in part, the work of another person as his or her own work."

This includes:
  • failure to acknowledge the use of other people's words and ideas (including paraphrasing another person's words or ideas) in your written work
  • failure to acknowledge the use of other people's images or creations in a work of art, or other people's words in an oral presentation

Plagiarism is a serious offence, the penalty for which is a failing grade for the course and possible suspension from the College.
