Borrowing privileges are extended to Carey Theological College / Regent College students, staff, alumni and faculty, community members with a paid membership, and through reciprocal borrowing privileges to students, staff and faculty at UBC, VST, St. Mark's and TWU (graduate students).
Fines and other charges must be paid in full before Library privileges will be issued or renewed.
Loan periods vary according to the type of material borrowed and the borrower's status (see table below).
Borrowers are responsible for returning items on time and in good condition. Loans of 1 day or longer are due by closing time on the due date and due date can be checked online at My Account http://jra.library.regent-college.edu/patroninfo
PLEASE NOTE: Items may be recalled before the due date if they are needed as a reserve or by another patron. Recall notices are sent by email and MAY include a revised due date. We advise that borrowed items NOT be taken with patrons on extended holiday or visits outside the Lower Mainland because the patron is responsible to return recalled by revised due dates.

A limit of 3 renewal periods has been set in order to minimize the number of lost items. After your third renewal all items must be returned by the due date. You are welcome to re-check those items you would like to continue using, but we require all items to be returned by the final date displayed through 'My Library Record.'
To renew materials:
A message stating "Too soon to renew" is displayed if you try to renew items with more than 7 days remaining until the due date (for regular loans). This is to prevent a borrower from inadvertently renewing too soon and thus using the 3-renewal limit too quickly.
It is important to provide an up-to-date email address for automatic notices to be sent to you. The email address you provide will be used to notify you of:
Please note, however, that failure to receive courtesy reminders from the Allison Library will not excuse borrowers from late charges.
Overdue charges are levied as follows:
The system will automatically block an account that has any outstanding fines or charges of $10.00 or more (or if an item is overdue).
Replacement charges will be assessed for reasons such as lost or broken materials, highlighting in or otherwise defacing books, water damage, or failure to return materials. Charges usually amount to a replacement cost of $50.00 for a book (higher for more valuable items) plus a $10.00 processing fee.
The Allison Library does not release patron / borrower personal information nor the personal information about items on loan.
