Course Reserves

If you want to see what a professor has placed on reserve for a specific course, go to the RCL library catalogue and click on 'Course Reserves' under the Services column. The most efficient way to search is by course number since many professors will have reserves for more than one course. (E.g. Appl 529, Bibl 503, Inds 600, Hist 500, Spir 500,etc.) In this way the list will only show the items on reserve for that particular course rather than all the reserves for one professor.

The results list will display the title, author, call number and time period for check out (i.e. 2-hours; 24-hours; or 48-hours) and if the item is available or checked out. If the item is available, write down the call number to bring to the circulation desk where all reserve items are kept.

If an item is checked out, you can place a hold/ request on it by selecting the 'Request Item' button and filling in your name and library card number. (NOTE: 2-hour reserves are on a 'first come, first served' basis and cannot be placed on hold.)
