This weekend course, taught on September 13th (1-4pm) and 14th (9am-4pm) by Bruce and Carolyn Hindmarsh, is designed to help students engage in graduate research and to write the papers that will be required during their course of study at Regent. Students will receive instruction in reading and thinking critically and in improving their writing skills. The course is especially appropriate for those who have a technical (rather than an arts) background, those who are returning to formal study after some years, and for international students who have a command of English but lack experience writing in English. During the semester, students may participate in one-on-one tutorials that will focus on individual problems and concerns.
