EXHIBIT: DOORS (APRIL - OCTOBER 2027)

Lorna Rande was born in northern British Columbia and has lived in Metro Vancouver since childhood. Originally a portrait artist, she later transitioned into photography and has worked professionally for over twenty years. Several of her works have been selected for provincial exhibition by the Professional Photographers of Canada–BC. After surviving cancer, she authored “Promises in the Garden: Hope that Strengthens Faith” to encourage others walking through dark seasons. A recent participant in Regent College’s “Christian Imagination” course, Lorna is passionate about revealing God’s handprint through her imagery and encouraging others to walk in their God-given gifting.
For this Exhibit Lorna curated selection from her “doors” series featuring images from Canada, the USA and Europe.. Her long-standing interest in doors is inspired by Revelation 3:7–8, written to the church in Philadelphia: “What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.” These words have shaped her artistic imagination, with doors serving as visual metaphors for faith, perseverance, and the assurance of God’s sovereign leading.
