The Colloquies by Sandi Smoker
- Description
EXHIBIT: THE COLLOQUIES (APRIL 15- OCTOBER 15 2027)

Sandi Smoker is a visual artist, grandmother, and lifelong learner. Her contemplative roots run deep in the Christian wisdom tradition, reflecting her devotion to the arts as integral to emotional and spiritual formation. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies (MATS) from Regent College in 2020. She lives on Pender Island in the Outer Southern Gulf Islands on the west coast of Canada, where she works as a Mental Health Program Supervisor and Counsellor at the local health centre. Her training includes certification in art therapy and certification as a clinical specialist in spiritual care and counselling. She serves as a co-investigator and co-scholar on the Arts for Equity Project.
Inspired by Ignatius of Loyola’s notion of the colloquy, that is, reciprocating exchange of dreams, thoughts, ideas, feelings, responses to inspiration and affirmations of love between God and the believer, the colloquies collection portrays spiritual conversations over the winter of 2026.
